My Husband's blog is called life in the dash. Not just dash here and there but the purposeful living in between the day we were born and the day we die. We are mourning the loss of a dear friend Dana. It seems lately we've been so impressed to find out how far reaching our friend's love reached. She was a true Gentle Woman who took time to be kind to new islanders otherwise known as Strangers. She seemed to be at peace always, not easy for a mother with three active young boys. To most people she seemed "average". But I believe she was much more than that and God smiled when He thought of His servant Dana.
Now our thoughts are wrenched toward those who remain. A loving husband and three young boys. How will we reach out? What kindness can we extend that will truly be helpful. Will I remain faithful in prayer for them to help ease this especially rough first year of firsts? That is my challenge as I live in the dash. Feet and Hands of the Gospel of Christ.
