Mom and Dad's Fall Visit

Just when you think you've seen enough ferry boats you just can't resist one more shot. Taken from the water level makes it look that much more grand.
Love this picture of Mom and Rick. It was a beautiful day
Oh yeah... Old Man and the Sea
The visits are always too short, but so glad they made time to add us to the loop! We love you!

Speaking of your inlaws (nice photos!), Mom wanted me to pass along a gluten free recommendation to you for them. The company is 1-2-3 Gluten Free. Their baking mixes are a little expensive. But for as grainy and blah as most gluten free baked goods tend to be, finding something that tastes really good is exciting. She made the Sweet Goodness Pan Bars, the applesauce version. This recipe is seriously tasty, a super-moist spice cake. It would do well as a Thanksgiving dessert or with coffee for breakfast. I could have eaten the whole pan--and that's not just the pregnancy talking. You might be able to find them in a local grocery store. Or you can order mixes from their website, individually or in cases, and have them sent straight to Rick's folks or sister. I'm not sure if Mom has tried any of 1-2-3's other products, but the spice cake is definitely a standout.
