This is a necessary batch of salsa. We were on our last jar with no tomatoes ripening in anyone's garden. The best I could do was buy Romas at the store and let them ripen as much as possible before starting. This batch is still cooking but you must taste test as you go...
That was pretty good but I think I have another taste test to try.
Now this is the best way to try out a new batch. There is nothing so scrumptious as hot fresh salsa and avocado.

Plating is everything.

Montage of Graduation and there abouts

One serious nurse Tatoo!
Jen and Joe on his big Solo Night at Bing Crosby Theater.
Jen and her buddy Chai E ( I know I can't spell it without Jenny here)
Jen's WSU graduation gown... graduated with honors cum laude.
The roommates all together. Megan, Kathelyn, and Jenny.

Photo Montage of Recent Events

Megan, Andy and Jen. Three happy nurses.
Jenny and LTC Westfield.
Jen and Megan, roommates, at Nursing Convocation.
Contemplative. I love this.

Top of the heap.

Music to My Ears

Got a few minutes. I didn't realize that the first song of the evening would be Joe's special concerto from his Musicfest competition.I did not get the entire song recorded. So my camera does better with movie sound than the picture so... Just close your eyes and enjoy.

Joe's accompanist was Andrea Hope. She performed with him at the Bing Crosby Theater downtown Spokane, and at this solos night at Eastern U.

Jenny's Commissioning

I put these in the wrong order... but this is the happy family posing with the Second Lieutenant.

After the oath, we pinned on her rank bars.

Spring is Here and Summer's Coming...

This is the first Rhubarb of the season and Angie made this Weight Watcher recipe that lets us have our Rhubarb and eat it too.

We completed our fire pit last week and we enjoyed a recreational fire that night. It is sooo nice. I am looking forward to summer and we are thinking of trying to steam crab over a fire this year. Come and help.

Outrageous Grace

There's a lot of pain, but a lot more healing
There's a lot of trouble, but a lot more peace
There's a lot of hate, but a lot more loving
There's a lot of sin, but a lot more grace.

Oh outrageous grace, Oh outrageous grace
Love unfurled by heaven's hand.
Oh outrageous grace, Oh outrageous grace
Through my Jesus I can stand.

There's a lot of fear, but a lot more freedom
There's a lot of darkness, but a lot more light
There's a lot of cloud, but a lot more vision
There's a lot of perishing, but a lot more life.

Oh outrageous grace, Oh outrageous grace
Love unfurled by heaven's hand.
Oh outrageous grace, Oh outrageous grace
Through my Jesus I can stand.

This past week held a bit of sadness. On Sunday this was one of the worship songs that gave a glimpse of light and hope. God is in control and I was comforted with that knowledge.
