Rick was the first to hold Maureen when we got there. My arms were aching but he beat me to it.... I was ever so patient.
After bath time Robb was gently brushing Maureen's hair, massaging her scalp. It was so sweet. She adores her daddy and just relaxed totally.
Just so you know she's a REAL baby and does cry??

Maureen was such a trooper all day. She was passed around to everyone to hug and love on... Here she is ending her day with Grandpa.
Aunt Bunny is the only Auntie on my side of the family that showed up to behold such a sweet child. She was quite taken with Maureen and says she is going to rub this advantage in amongst the family. 
Family pictures at the Altar of Grace United Church of Christ. Yes, Robb wears a kilt to all his important occasions. The christening gown was made by Robb's great grandmother if I remember it correctly. It came with a outer coat and cap as well, but the dress was gorgeous all on it's own. 
And here you see all the grandparents and the happy family. Charlene, Ken, Liz, myself and Rick. Barb, Maureen and Robb. Maureen was on her best behavior, didn't cry, just filled her pants like a good little girl.
This is Amy, Maureen's Godmother. She is Barb's cousin and will be very active in her life!
This is the quilt I wanted my grand daughter to know us by. It can be a story quilt to share stories and memories of times together, crabbing, tidepooling etc... I hope Maureen gets to pick up a starfish all on her own someday.
The big crabs are dungeoness and the little crab is a Maryland blue crab :)
My first attempt at creating a felted Hedgehog was for Jenny for her birthday. She always said she wanted one, so when I saw the pattern I decided to try it.
This past ten days are a happy blur. First we had a second honeymoon while driving a 16 ft. box truck to San Antonio. The scenery was beautiful, the weather cooperated and the days, though long were manageable. We saw scenery we had seen during our honeymoon 27 years ago and it was delightful. But before I get too far ahead of myself... I will post a picture of Maureen with her Grandpa and with her Grandmas.
Aren't these pictures the sweetest? The grandma picture is terrific. Liz is left, Charlene center and myself on the right. Now I hate to say it but... do you think Maureen has a favorite? wink wink :) If she does it is probably Grandpa because he is a great Baby Soother, says Barb. Just the right Butt Pat, singing and Jiggle!
This is an awesome Packer's Cake made by Jenny and Megan. They had great fun making all the components, a favorite feature "the cheese" and working with gum paste for the first time. They bought premade "Duff" fondant that actually tastes good. They impressed all their friends at the party, and of course the right team WON. What a great day.
