MY FACE TIME VISITS WITH MOM

Ah technology. With one hand I curse it and the other embrace. Bunny has an ipod 2 and she is able to do FaceTime calls at the hospital. Joe was there as well. I got to watch Mom eat her pudding, wave her arms around, get it up her nose, and get cleaned up. She then took a snooze and was just like a baby. Eat, poop, sleep. The basics of life. When she woke back up I sang an old favorite hymn to her. And Bunny told her she would steal a hymnal and we could sing together next Tuesday when I get there. She made a little face at the mention of stealing a hymnal. Could of been gas but I'd like to think she can follow along.
So Colleen is picking me up on Tues at BWI and I leave the crack of dawn on Friday. I have to fit a whole lotta livin' in those 3 days. As Grandma Theresa would say "God Love Her"...

Random shots

The sweater that I am modeling was knit by none other than Angie, the super talented one. She started it years ago and had it mostly done. She needed to block it and sew on buttons. I was the happy recipient because it was my size after blocking... Sorry Jenny.
Can't you just see the creative juices flowing in the look on Angie's face and in her eyes?

The cinnamon rolls are something Mark left for us at Teezer's on Friday night. Little did he know that we decided that sugar, fake or white and white flour are not in our diet any longer. Though it was tempting, really tempting. We gave them to a friend, just in time.

Jenny's Birthday is Today March 25th!!
Happy Birthday Rosie. Happy 24th.
Sakura, be sure to give Mom much exfoliation and kisses.

I hope to get some new screen shots tomorrow when we face time with Jenny.

Aunt B and Uncle Bede Eyes

This is my tribute page to a terrific Aunt and Uncle. I love this picture. In case you can't read it all Uncle Bede Eye's shirt says " There's Nothing Wrong With Me That A Little Ice Cream Won't Fix". I'd ship you a case of it if that were still true.
Uncle Bede Eyes is dying. You can tell he's fun just by lookin' at him. I am going to miss you so very much. You've lived through many wonderful and terrible times. Now you know that the end is near and you've said your Our Father, so you've made your peace with God. Maybe there will be Ice Cream in Heaven. I am sending Love, Hugs and Kisses to you and Aunt B.

Happy Valentine's Day

Oh My. I really shouldn't... Just one bite?
Angie has been baking for Awana. Those lucky little kids. They get delectable homemade sugar cookies that taste more like shortbread with beautiful and tasty decorations. The drop flowers with the pearls are cream cheese frosting. I could eat a zillion of them.

So I am redeeming the evening with sugar free instant pudding. Almost seems like it should be a sin to eat something so artificial. The sweet little ramekins I got yesterday at Rose's Bakery. Now that is a dangerous place to have a gift certificate!
However you spend your Valentine's Day I hope you are able to make someone's day. Be a Cupid.

I Love This

I had to borrow this from a friends site. I love the sentiment. Reminds me of childhood pets that were always bent on escaping. Mainly hamsters. But I do remember Tiny always getting out the door and running straight for the main road. If I got down on the ground and called her sweetly and like I was ready to play with her she would come immediately.

This picture reminds me also that Spring is coming. I am ready to leave the gate open and go for it...
Spring Fever!

Gotta Go To Work

Some days are so hard to go to work. I saw out of the corner of my eye that there was fog on the water. I just had to go have a peek. I took this shot from a moving car but I think it is cool to see the driftwood blurred. This is Crescent Beach in the Winter.
Sometimes I just love living on an Island.

New Apron

At quilt camp I fell in love with this fabric. I kept looking at it and dreaming of making an apron out of it. Then when I went past it's spot... it was gone. Yikes. I knew there were some serious fabriholics there but after lunch there was an unprecedented feeding frenzy. Oh, whoa is me, I waited too long. I looked everywhere. Then I saw "HER". She had the bolt tucked neetly under her arm. I ran up to her and said are you buying all of that? Oh no, just a yard. Then I saw HER. The woman walking closely behind. I told her that I went into a depression when I saw the bolt was gone. I NEEDED some. She said "how much do you need not to go into a depression"? I told her 2 yards would do it. "Oh, that's a lot" and she pondered my fate. I caved and said 1 1/2 would probably be ok. She held me to it and then she took the rest of the bolt (which turned out to be 10 2/3 yds) I had to buy a complimentary 1/2 yd of the pink/red print for the pockets. I made the apron the other night and just love it. It is the old fashioned cover your entire body kind with great pockets. It is just what I dreamed of and simple to make.
